Tondlyachya Kachrya (Ivy Gourd Vegetable)

Ingredients
  

  • 500 Gm Tondli (Ivy Gourd)
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4th Tsp Asafoetida
  • 2 Tbsp Freshly Grated Coconut
  • 2 Stalk Curry Leaves
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash and chop Tondli (Ivy Gourd) horizontally.
  • In a pan heat oil Add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds starts to sputter, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chili powder, curry leaves.
  • Add chopped Tondli (Ivy Gourd).
  • Add  sugar, salt, water.
  • Cover with lid and let it cook on medium heat.
  • Add freshly grated coconut.
  • Let it cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
  • Garnish it with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
