Rose Falooda

Falooda is a very popular summer drink. It contains milk and basil seeds which helps in keeping the body cool. Kids loves it as it has jelly and ice cream, two of their favorite things.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cup Milk
  • 8 Tbsp Rose Syrup
  • 1 Packet Raspberry Jelly
  • 2 Tbsp Sabja ( Basil Seeds )
  • 1/2 Cup Vermicelli
  • 1 Tsp Clarified Butter
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions
 

  • Boil and cool the milk and keep it in refrigerator for couple of hours.
  • Prepare jelly as per the instructions on the packet.
  • Soak sabja( basil seeds ) in water for 3 hours.
  • In a pot heat clarified butter and saute vermicelli for 1 minute. Cook the vermicelli by adding little water at a time. Cool it.

Assembly:

  • In a serving glass, add 1 tbsp soaked sabja.
  • On that add some cooked vermicelli
  • Then add some jelly.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of cooled milk.
  • Add ice cream.
  • Pour 2 tbsp rose syrup.
  • Serve with a tall spoon.

Notes

I have used vermicelli noodles in the falooda. You can also use special falooda noodles in this recipe. However vermicelli noodles are generally available in most of the shops and they taste just the same as falooda noodles.
