Paneer Burji

Paneer (cottage cheese) is a crowd pleaser. Almost everyone from kids to grownups likes it. This dish tastes amazing even if it requires a handful of ingredients. It can be made in a jiffy so is a good option for kids lunch box. You can eat paneer burji with roti/ paratha/ naan.

Ingredients
  

  • 100 Gm Paneer
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 1 Medium Tomato
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves
  • 1-2 Green Chilies
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/4th Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4th Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4th Tsp Asafoetida
  • 1/2 Tsp Sugar
  • 1/4th Tsp Garam Masala
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces.
  • Grate the paneer.
  • Make the tadka. Heat the oil then add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds starts to sputter, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, chopped chili and crushed garlic.
  • Add chopped onion, sugar, salt and saute it for 10 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomato and saute it for 5 minutes.
  • Add garam masala.
  • Add grated paneer and saute it for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves.
