Sooji Halwa With Banana
Banana Halwa is a traditional dish made as prasad during religious ceremonies. Clarified butter and milk gives a rich taste to this dish. Banana adds a different flavor and you will see the overall combination tastes heavenly.

Sooji Halwa With Banana
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Coarse Sooji
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/4th Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Water
- 3 Tbsp Clarified Butter (ghee)
- 1 Banana (1/4 cup)
- 1/2 Tsp Cardamom Powder
- Dry Fruits
Instructions
- Heat 2 tbsp clarified butter in a pan. Add sooji and roast it on low heat till it becomes golden brown.
- Boil water and add it to the sooji. Cover it with the lid and let the sooji cook until you can see that it has absorbed all the water.
- Add sugar and saute for 5 minutes.
- Add milk and saute until the halwa absorbs all the milk.
- Add copped banana and mix well.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Turn off the burner and add remaining 1 tbsp of clarified butter and cover the lid for couple of minutes.
- Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
