Baked Vegetables In White Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Small Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 Small Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1 Medium Carrot
  • 200 Gm Mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 Cup Fat Free Milk
  • 2 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 10 Garlic Cloves (Peeled)
  • 100 Gm Mozarella Cheese
  • 2 Cubes Processed Cheese
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper (Crushed)
  • Salt

Method
 

  1. Wash and chop all the vegetables into big pieces.
  2. Wash and shallow fry the mushrooms. There should not be any water left in mushrooms.
For White Sauce:
  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.
  2. Add garlic and saute it for a minute.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of all purpose flour and saute it for a minute. Whisk continuously otherwise the flour will stick to the pan. 
  4. Whisk the milk slowly until all the lumps are gone.
  5. Add salt and pepper.
  6. Grate mozzarella and processed cheese and mix in the white sauce . Cook for 2 minutes until all the cheese is melted. Whisk continuously.
  7. In a baking dish arrange all the chopped vegetables. Pour the white sauce and bake it at 200 C for 15 minutes.

Notes

I used fat free milk as we are using lot of cheese and there is really no need for full cream milk.
