Yellow Moong Dal Paratha

This is a quick, simple and healthy but delicious kid’s lunch box dish. You can serve it with ketchup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Yellow Moong Dal
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt

Method
 

  1. Cook the moong dal in pressure cooker by adding 1 cup of water.
  2. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt in the cooked moong dal. Mix well.
  3. Mix 1 cup of wheat flour and knead the dough. Use as much less water as needed. If you think the dough is watery then adjust the whet flour accordingly.
  4. Make dough balls around 3 inches in diameter.
  5. Roll the paratha using a rolling pin.
  6. Roast it on a pan by applying oil on both the sides. 

Notes

You can add coriander leaves in this paratha. Adjust the chilli powder as per your liking.
