Garlic Bread

Garlic Bread is our family favorite side dish that we always order with pizza. I wanted to try making it at home so I bought dry yeast packet and followed the directions written on the packet to make bread. To add a touch of garlic flavor, I have used garlic butter. Turned out they are quick and easy to make. I hope you will try and agree with me.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 Gm. All Purpose Flour
  • 25 Gm. Dry Yeast
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 100 Gm. Garlic Butter
  • Salt

Instructions
 

Prepare Yeast:

  • Heat 1/2 cup water in a microwave for 30 seconds. Dissolve sugar in it. Add dry yeast and stir till the yeast granules melt. Cover it and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Mix all purpose flour, salt, yeast and knead it into a dough adding little water. I used about 1/2 cup of water. The dough should be soft and elastic.
  • Add oil and knead it again.
  • In a large bowl keep the dough and cover it with damp cloth. Keep the dough for 20 minutes to prove.
  • After 20 minutes you will find that the dough had raised to almost double its original size.
  • Roll the dough with rolling pin. Prepare the garlic bread stick in the shape you like. 
  • Line the baking tray with aluminium foil and brush it with olive oil.
  • Arrange the garlic sticks on a baking tray and brush it with garlic butter on top.
  • Bake the garlic sticks in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
