Tondlyachya Kachrya (Ivy Gourd Vegetable)
Tondlyachya Kachrya (Ivy Gourd Vegetable) is a quick and simple vegetable dish. This recipe does not require any spices. The taste is well balanced with red powder, sugar and salt. This vegetable is served with chapati.

- 500 Gm Tondli (Ivy Gourd)
- 3 Tbsp Oil
- 1/2 Tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1/4th Tsp Asafoetida
- 2 Tbsp Freshly Grated Coconut
- 2 Stalk Curry Leaves
- 1 Tsp Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Water
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- Salt
Instructions
- Wash and chop Tondli (Ivy Gourd) horizontally.
- In a pan heat oil Add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds starts to sputter, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chili powder, curry leaves.
- Add chopped Tondli (Ivy Gourd).
- Add sugar, salt, water.
- Cover with lid and let it cook on medium heat.
- Add freshly grated coconut.
- Let it cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
- Garnish it with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
