Instructions
Soak the moong dal in water for 30 minutes.
Chop garlic.
In a pot heat oil. Add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds starts to sputter, add turmeric powder, asafoetida, red chili powder and chopped garlic.
Add soaked yellow moong dal and water. Cover the pot with lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Add chopped dill and water. Mix it well, cover it with lid and let it cook till the dill is fully cooked.
