Coarse Sooji (Semolina)

Instructions
Heat the pan. Roast the sooji on a medium flame till golden brown. Keep it aside.
Chop the onions. Cut green chillis into 2-3 pieces.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds starts to sputter, add turmeric powder , asafoetida, curry leaves, cut green chillis.
Add chopped onions.
Add 1/2 cup of water and cover it with lid and let the onions cook.
In a separate pan boil remaining 2 1/2 cup water.
Add it to the cooked onions. Add coconut.
Add the roasted sooji. Mix it and cover it with the lid. Let it cook for 5 minutes on medium heat till all the water is absorbed in the sooji.
Turn off the burner and let it stay covered for another 5-10 minutes.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it.
Notes
You can also add green peas and cashews.
