Carrot And Tomato Raita

The raita is a made with carrot and tomatoes. It is another simple side dish. The sweet taste of carrot and a bit tangy taste of tomatoes complements each other. It is generally served with rice dishes like Pulav, Biryani or Masale Bhat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Medium Carrot
  • 3 Medium Tomatoes
  • 1/4th Cup Roasted Unsalted Peanut Powder
  • 2 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1-2 Green Chilies
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
  • Salt

Method
 

  1. Peel and grate carrot.
  2. Chop tomatoes.
  3. Chop green chilies and coriander leaves.
  4. Mix carrot, tomatoes, yogurt, roasted unsalted peanut powder, chilies, coriander leaves, sugar, salt.
  5. Serve at room temperature.
